Who has had the experience of trying to quit smoking knows that reality is far from desire. In general, only 5% of people who try to quit are successful in the venture. According to medical Jacqueline Issa, a cardiologist and director of the Treatment of Tobacco INCOR (Heart Institute), most people who start a program to quit smoking is the third or fourth attempt.

Fabiana Treu is one of those people who know that the practice is far from comfortable. Smoker for 17 years, the public relations (already smoked two packs of cigarettes a day) has come to stop the addiction for a year. However, in a complicated time, had a relapse. “I lived a stressful situation at work and asked for a cigarette to a friend,” he says. Now, five years ago she tries to stop again, but can not.

Fabiana’s experience shows that many doctors consider to be a major challenge for smokers: the emotional dependency. If you have no doubt that nicotine is indeed addictive (the understanding that smoking is a drug addict is only about 15 years), is also considered that the error is not only in substance but also the pleasure, in safety or satisfaction that smoking brings. “The addiction to smoking is a matter of drug addiction and behavioral,” says John Paul Lotufo, doctor in charge of Tobacco Control Project, University Hospital of the USP (Universidade de Sao Paulo).

This explains the data of the Ministry of Health, even with the low success rate when trying to quit smoking, 95% of people who can do it yourself. Those who control the anxiety and the mechanisms of addiction leading to light a cigarette have more chance of success. “The smoker highly motivated to follow the instructions (chewing gum or patches) With care can not stop yourself, “says Jacqueline. But she said, the rate of effectiveness is very low compared with the total number of people trying to quit smoking.

For those who can not stop smoking, medical guidance is needed to enable the professional to verify, in addition to the most appropriate medicines, which makes the patient unable to kick the habit. That is why the vast majority of treatments to quit smoking combines a series of actions and includes medical care. The drugs alone, only decrease your cravings or withdrawal symptoms. “It’s more efficient to attend a support group to take the appropriate remedy to stop smoking”, says Lotufo. The project of the University Hospital, for example, and offer repositories of nicotine (gum or patches) And medication (bupropion), Includes weekly meetings of four or five weeks.

The program of the Incor assists through the SUS (Unified Health System), the patient who already have any cardiovascular problems and was treated at the institute. However, as demand for help was great, opened the possibility of participation of people who have health insurance. In both cases, there is also the follow-up appointments and the patient is discharged only after at least one year after starting treatment.

The largest program nationwide is the Ministry of Health INCA (National Cancer Institute), national coordinator of anti-smoking campaign, register and enables basic health units in various municipalities in Brazil to meet smokers want to quit smoking. The free program distributed repositories of nicotine and also offers the antidepressant bupropion. Anyone who wants to learn about the sites that offer treatment in your town should call the Health Hotline: 0800-611997.

Getting treatment is the first step, but we must be aware that the facility to stop smoking also depends on the degree of dependence of each smoker. Those who are dependent on very strong in general need to address other issues related to addiction before, such as depression and anxiety, and then thinking about quitting smoking.

In any case, experts are unanimous in agreeing that the time to cut tobacco consumption does not help in treatment. In general, the target date to quit smoking is one week after the start of the program. It is necessary to follow the plan with great determination.

Are you trying to quit smoking and finding it difficult? Do you find it increasingly hard to resist the temptation to smoke? Do you have a history of quitting and relapsing right back into the habit? If you said yes to the questions above, I hope this article will help you.

Quitting smoking is difficult. Rooting out this deep-seated habit can be a long, drawn out struggle. Some people can succeed in quitting in a few weeks, but many of us struggle for years, and often get caught in the cycle of quitting and smoking. If you are a smoker, you are only too familiar with the urge to smoke. This urge can be triggered by many things, such as your frame of mind, your physical environment or your daily routine. If you have tried to quit but have not succeeded, in all likelihood it was due to some such circumstance. The time it will take you to quit smoking – and I mean really quit it – can vary, but the important thing is to come up with a strategy to win over this strong urge, so that the next time you find yourself in a situation that is conducive to smoking and triggers your urge, you know what to do.

Tip #1. Think about your smoking patterns. Figure out the times in a day when you typically smoke. Is it always after a meal or a shower? Or before you go to bed? It is important to be armed with this self-awareness; the first step to fighting the urge to smoke is to know when to expect it.

Tip #2: Formulate a diversion strategy. By this I mean, stay occupied, mentally and physically, during the times when you usually feel the strongest urges. Smoking urges are usually strongest during times when our minds and hands are idle. So if you always smoke after your morning jog, then add a new routine to your workout, such as using a stress ball for your fingers. If you always smoke after a meal, chew hard candy instead.

Tip #3: Stay clear of temptations. This can be as simple as taking a detour to avoid a group of strangers smoking in the street. Tobacco smoke can be a great temptation for smokers, and so can smoking zones, tobacco stores or even billboards. So if you are around a lot of smokers and tobacco smoke on a daily basis, your battle will be that much harder.

Tip #4: Get rid of all your smoking instruments. Smokers have a lot of paraphernalia – lighters, matches, ashtrays, old empty packs. Clean your house and working area of all such products. Use a scented room freshener and eject the smell of tobacco from your environment. This will also go a long way in making you feel better about not smoking.

Tip#5: Take control of your physical environment. Figure out if there are specific areas in your house where you like to smoke. You can outsmart your smoking urges with simple counteractive moves such as rearranging the furniture in such a place or even just moving your favorite smoking chair away from the window.

Tip#6: Don’t lose sight of your goal. Write it down, even if you’re doing really well. This will help you to not only remember but believe in how important this is to you. The written word is stronger than the spoken word and much more so than the unspoken thought – so make your goal real and important by putting it down on paper and holding yourself accountable to it.

Tip#7: Believe in your ability to quit smoking. A lot of smokers relapse because they just don’t think it can be done. It’s too hard, they say, I’ll never be able to do it. Even if you know others who have tried unsuccessfully to quit, remember that the urge to smoke is only an aggregate of environmental, mental or physical triggers, and can be combated successfully with the right approach. Thousands of people quit smoking every year – what sets the successful quitters apart is that they know it can be done, and that they can do it. With dedication and strategy, so can you.

Smoking is a practice where a substance, most commonly tobacco, is burned and the smoke tasted or inhaled. This is primarily done as a form of recreational drug use, as combustion releases the active substances in drugs such as nicotine and makes them available for absorption through the lungs. It can also be done as a part of rituals, to induce trances and spiritual enlightenment.

Health warnings on Australian tobacco products have been mandated through federal legislation since 1973, being updated in 1987 and 1995. Issue of the current warnings followed a detailed study examining the likely impact of prototypes, particularly on youth. The warnings address general health (”Smoking kills”), lung cancer, heart disease, addiction, low infant birthweight, and harm to others through passive smoking.

Effects of Smoking

Cigarette smoking increases the risk of coronary heart disease by itself. When it acts with other factors, it greatly increases risk. Smoking increases blood pressure, decreases exercise tolerance and increases the tendency for blood to clot. Smoking also increases the risk of recurrent coronary heart disease after bypass surgery.

The study is among the first to isolate the effects of smoking on sleep. In previous research, it was unclear whether changes in sleep patterns were due to smoking itself or to the medical conditions underlying smoking such as heart disease or respiratory disease, said study and epidemiology, in the division of pulmonary and critical care medicine, at Johns Hopkins University, in Baltimore, Maryland.

As a cigarette burns, the residues are concentrated towards the butt.

The products that are most damaging are:

â?¢ tar, a carcinogen (substance that causes cancer)

â?¢ nicotine is addictive and increases cholesterol levels in your body

â?¢ carbon monoxide reduces oxygen in the body

Cancer

â?¢ The risk of dying from lung cancer is more than 22 times higher among men who smoke cigarettes and about 12 times higher among women who smoke cigarettes compared with never smokers.

â?¢ Cigarette smoking increases the risk for many types of cancer, including cancers of the lip, oral cavity, pharynx, esophagus, pancreas, larynx (voice box), lung, uterine cervix, urinary bladder, and kidney.

The fact that smoking causes problems for the heart arteries is not surprising when you consider that smoking has been demonstrated to:

â?¢ Increase bad (LDL) cholesterol

â?¢ Lower good (HDL) cholesterol

â?¢ Increases insulin resistance

â?¢ Cigarettes are loaded with “free radicals” which “oxidize” the LDL cholesterol. Oxidized LDL is the very worst type of cholesterol.

â?¢ Directly accelerate the progression of the atherosclerotic plaque.

â?¢ Increase the heart rate and the blood pressure

Does it Cause Wrinkles

Yes. Smoking can accelerate the normal aging process of your skin, contributing to wrinkles. These skin changes may occur after only 10 years of smoking and are irreversible.

How does smoking lead to wrinkles? Smoking causes narrowing of the blood vessels in the outermost layers of your skin. This impairs blood flow to your skin, depleting it of oxygen and important nutrients, such as vitamin A. Smoking also damages collagen and elastin â?? fibers that give your skin its strength and elasticity. As a result, skin begins to sag and wrinkle prematurely.

More men and women die from lung cancer than any other cancers. Who is most susceptible to this disease? Nearly 70 percent of the elderly 65 and older will be diagnosed with this disease. Three percent of lung cancer cases have appeared in people younger than 45 years old.

Until the 1930s, cancer of the lungs was not as prevalent but still quite common. However, once there was an increase of tobacco smoking use, lung cancer cases rose drastically. As information and education circulates about the hidden dangers of smoking, lung cancer related deaths are beginning to see a decline. Despite all the education and the public awareness, it’s still a common human cancer. For women, breast cancer is no longer the number one killer. Lung cancer has exceeded breast cancer related deaths.

Lung Cancer Causes

Smoking – Most lung cancer related deaths (about 90 percent) have been associated with smoking. Each time a person smokes a cigarette, they increase their chances of getting lung cancer. Based upon doctors’ formula regarding the quantity of packs to the amount of years smoked, someone who has a 30 pack to year history has a greater chance to develop lung cancer. For those people who smoke two, three or more packs a day, statistics show that one in seven diagnosed will die from the disease. Cigarette smoking is not the only culprit to lung cancer. Cigar smoking and pipe smoking can also lead to the disease at a lower rate. Those who smoke cigars or pipe smoke are five times more likely to get lung cancer than a person who never smoked.

The smoke found in tobacco has over 4,000 element compounds. Many of these are cancer causing. Two key carcinogens are polycyclic aromatic hdrycarbons and nitrosamines. Once a person has given up tobacco use, lung cancer risks decreases every year. Normal cells will begin to grow and outnumber damaged lung cells. After 15 years of not smoking, lung processes and the threat of the disease gets close to that of someone who has never smoked.

Passive Smoking – What is passive smoking? This is when people who are in close quarters smokers breathe in the smoke filled air. Those who don’t smoke have a 24 percent likelihood to develop lung cancer if they live with a smoker. Nearly 3,000 deaths can be associated with passive smoking.

Asbestos Fibers – Mesothelioma and lung cancer through asbestos exposure is high. People who work in asbestos related fields and smoke dramatically increase their chances of getting a lung cancer connected disease. When compared with their non smoking counterparts, they have a 50 to 90 percent greater risk of getting lung cancer or other lung related illness.

Radon Gas – Radon gas has been documented to be the next leading cause in lung cancer deaths, killing anywhere from 15,000 to 22,000 people in the United States every year. Like asbestos exposure, radon exposure augments lung cancer risks. The gas is able to travel through soil. It can gain entrance into homes by the gaps found in its foundation, its drains and its pipes. Nearly one in 15 homes is found with dangerous level of radon gas according to the United States Environmental Protection Agency. Can a person tell if their home has high amounts of radon gas? Only by a kit. The gas cannot be smelled, nor can be it seen.

Genetics – It’s true that most cases of lung cancer can be linked back to smoking. However, not every smoker will get the disease. That means other factors like genetics could play a part behind the causes of lung cancer. Studies have revealed that cancer can and does occur in families that have smokers and nonsmokers. It would seem a gene can increase the vulnerability of smokers in getting lung cancer.

Lung Diseases – When a smoker or even non smoker has other lung diseases such as COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), they are at an increased risk to develop the disease even if they quit smoking and all the effects have worn away.

History of Lung Disease – People with a record of lung cancer are at a higher risk of developing it a second time. People who have survived a non-small cell lung cancers have a one to two percent risk to getting the disease a second time while those who have beaten small cell lung cancers have a six percent increase each year.

Air Pollution – The chances of getting lung cancer from air pollution is raised in individuals that breathe in polluted air every day. Pollution from cars, power plants and industrialized areas increases these risks. Yet, they only account for one percent of lung cancer related deaths. Experts have suggested that every day exposure to air heavily polluted can be compared to passive smoking.

The electric cigarette has recently become one of the most popular alternatives to traditional smoking. It is applauded for its many health and environmental benefits. However, many potential users are hesitant to try this marvelous product because they do not understand how it operates. Additionally, many smokeless cigarette devices can come in wide variety of designs and colors. The consumer chooses the size and shape of the cigarette, and it is largely dependent upon an individuals personal preferences. For those who prefer a more traditional look, an electric cigarette that looks like a traditional cigarette can be purchased. Furthermore, the disposable smokeless cigarette has recently become available on the market.

While an electric cigarette may seem intimidating at first, in actuality, it is not.

The average smokeless cigarette is comprised of five components. These components are the shaped container, an LED, a battery, and atomizer or another type of heating element, and the mouthpiece. As the user inhales, a sensor that is located in the mouthpiece detects the flow of air. The sensor then cues the atomizer to heat the nicotine solution, which is stored in the mouthpiece. After the atomizer has sufficiently heated the solution, it produces a vapor that the user then inhales. Not all electric cigarettes contain an LED display. It is dependent upon the manufacturer of the cigarette. However, the LED is used to simulate the glow that is associated with the actual burning that takes places with traditional cigarettes.

The mouthpiece of the electric cigarette is a minuscule plastic cup that is attached to one end of the device. It is, internally, comprised of an absorbent material. The material is generally saturated with a flavored, liquid solution. This solution is preselected by the user according to his or hers personal taste. The mouthpiece of the smokeless cigarette is also sometimes referred to as the cartridge, and it does need to be refilled with the flavored substance at regular intervals. Next to the mouthpiece is the heating element, or the atomizer. It is the component that is responsible for heating the nicotine solution.

The battery and its accompanying electronics are critical elements to an electric cigarette. The battery in such a cigarette is traditionally a rechargeable lithium ion battery. It is responsible for powering the atomizer in the cigarette. The main advantage to using this type of battery is the fact that it is rechargeable, upon purchase, it does come with a battery charger. The battery charger is available in the form of a wall charger, a car charger, or a USB charger. The size of the battery, the frequency of use, and the operating environment of the device will determine the battery life of your lithium ion battery. The other critical electronic components of your smokeless cigarette include the airflow sensor and the other various circuits, such as the cutoff mechanism that prevents the atomizer from overheating. If your cigarette contains an LED, then you will need to be careful to maintain your LED activation device.

The last component of your electric cigarette is the nicotine solution that it houses. These solutions are available in a wide variety of flavors and nicotine concentrations. The level of nicotine concentration in the solution will be entirely at your discretion, and the concentration levels can range from low to high doses. There are solutions that contain no nicotine or very little nicotine or you can choose more intense solutions. Each smokeless cigarette manufacturer has a unique formula. These formulas also come in an increasingly wider variety of flavors. Most traditional formulas mimic the taste of traditional cigarettes. However, other flavors include orange, vanilla, and caramel.

The advent of the electric cigarette has revolutionized the world of cigarettes. It is now possible for a smoker to enjoy a cigarette without the odor or health risks that come with traditional cigarettes. Additionally, a user can avoid the social stigma that comes with being a smoker. An absence of smoke and tar will be beneficial to your health, and it will not create unnecessary secondhand smoke for those around you. Also, smokers in environments in which smoking is traditionally banned can use a smokeless cigarette. If you are ready to make the switch today, contact a manufacturer to receive a free trial.

What are smokeless cigarettes? Many consumers for its numerous benefits have lauded this alternative to traditional smoking. Two of these benefits have included the fact that smokeless cigarettes are more cost effective and the fact that there is an absence of the harmful qualities that are normally associated with cigarettes. The electric cigarette is free of tar, carbon monoxide, carcinogens, and ash. Nor do these cigarettes pollute the environment or create worrisome secondhand smoke for others. Due to the lack of smoke, this also means that these cigarettes can be used in environments where smoking has been traditionally banned.

There are also many health benefits that are attributed to the use of smokeless cigarettes. Among these benefits is the absence of over 3,900 chemicals that are normally found in a traditional cigarette. Besides being beneficial to your health, an electric cigarette is also thought to be more beneficial to the environment due to a lack of byproduct. The benefits attached to this new modern marvel may seem too good to be true to many skeptics. However, knowledge of how these smokeless cigarettes work will be instrumental in understanding how they achieve their success.

Smokeless cigarettes can come in many forms and sizes. However, most of these products are made to resemble cigarettes, pipes, or cigars. For example, the “Hollywood” style of cigarette has proven to be very popular among consumers. The exact style of the electric cigarette that you choose will be dependent upon the manufacturer who produces it. It is possible to purchase products that look like traditional cigarettes or cigars, but many consumers also opt for smokeless cigarettes that have a distinct, new age look. The use of such a smoking device is commonly referred to as “vaping”. Likewise, those who use these products refer to traditional cigarettes as “analogs”.

Smokeless cigarettes are traditionally battery powered. These batteries are usually comprised of lithium ion. The battery then powers a heating system within the smokeless cigarette, which is called an atomizer. The atomizer is used to heat a water based nicotine solution. The consumer chooses this nicotine solution. The solution can come in a variety of different flavors, and the amount of nicotine that is found in the solution is chosen beforehand by the user. Because the user chooses the level of nicotine that you are ingesting, many former smokers have successfully used an electric cigarette as an aid to help them quit smoking altogether. The Federal Drug Administration does not allow this type of cigarette to be yet marketed as an anti smoking aid. However, there are many former smokers who attribute their success in quitting to this device.

After the heating process has finished, the smokeless cigarette produces a heated vapor, which the smoker then inhales. This is why the process is referred to as vaping. The vapor delivers the required nicotine fix to the user, and it is generally considered to be a much safer substitute for smoking. While the end result of the electric cigarette is the same as that of smoking a traditional cigarette, there is no combustion and there is an absence of any harmful chemicals or carcinogens.

As aforementioned, smokeless cigarettes are much more cost effective than traditional cigarettes. Each product is reusable and refillable. The only potential downside to using an electric cigarette is that refills must be ordered through the manufacturer. It is imperative that the user continue to order their product refills in a timely manner. More recently, disposable smokeless cigarettes have been put on the market. Although they are disposable, they can be thrown away in a traditional trashcan. Because there is an absence of ash or filter, the user does not need an ashtray to dispose of these parts.

If you are ready to begin the process of quitting smoking or are simply looking for an alternative to traditional cigarettes, then smokeless cigarettes may be an option for you. It would behoove you to educate yourself about the benefits and risks of an electric cigarette. It is a simple process to make the switch, and most manufacturers of these products are happy to provide a potential user with a starter kit that contains a sample of all of their products. This will allow the user to experiment and ascertain which combination of nicotine, flavor, and device will work best for them.

If you are not sure what exactly an electronic cigarette is, I will explain it right quick. For those who do know what they are, you can skip this paragraph. Electronic cigarettes or “e-Cigarettes” are just like traditional cigarettes without as many health hazards. They contain no tar, no pollution, no carbon monoxide, and no lit end but they do contain nicotine. They are a safer alternative to traditional cigarettes, cigars, or pipes and can be smoked just about anywhere. Whether you are at a restaurant, in an airplane, on a bus, or anywhere else that prohibits smoking in the area, you are able to enjoy e-cigarettes.

There are many benefits, when it comes to using electronic cigarettes. Here are 10 reasons why electronic cigarettes are better than traditional cigarettes:

10. There are a variety of flavors to choose from. You can choose from apple, strawberry, coffee, vanilla, mint/menthol, cherry, or many other different flavors. This is not including the traditional full flavors and strengths.

9. Better tasting than traditional cigarettes. Even when kissing a non-smoker, they don’t complain about how your mouth tastes like an ash tray. The vapors, which contain the nicotine, does not have the same after taste traditional cigarettes leave in your mouth or on your clothes. When you taste the vapors, it’s like a fresh taste and a fresher smell.

8. Not as messy as traditional cigarettes. No more worrying over ashes getting everywhere or messy cigarette butts laying around in your ash tray or flicking them out of the window. The cartridge, which is the filter part, snaps on and off. Each cartridge lasts about as long as 2 packs of traditional cigarettes. When you change the cartridge, you snap in a different cartridge and throw away the old one.

7. No one complaining about how your smoking habits are affecting them. Don’t you get tired of people saying “Can you move somewhere else? Your smoke is bothering me.”? Well, with electronic cigarettes, the smoke or vapors you exhale smell very pleasant, compared to traditional cigarettes. So, no more worries of people complaining about your habbits anymore.

6. The ability to smoke anywhere such as stores, planes, work places, and many other areas. You are able to smoke electronic cigarettes just about anywhere. I would advise you to mention to the store owner, a manager, or a co-worker, before you do e-smoke though. I wouldn’t want someone getting arrested or kicked out of a place for someone thinking you were actually smoking.

5. No lit end to set fires. No more worries of dropping your cigarette in your car and burn a hole in the floor, or tossing your cigarette out of the window and see it catch something on fire.

4. Cheaper than traditional cigarettes. With cigarette prices, these days, going up in price everyday. Stop paying $50 or more for a carton of cigarettes. Electronic cigarettes cost half that price or less. You can buy a carton of cartridges for about $17 to around $25 and they last just as long. So, you can get about 2 cartons of electronic cigarettes for the same price as one carton of traditional cigarettes.

3. No worries of second-hand smoke. The vapors given off by electronic cigarettes are basically just water vapors with nicotine in them. There is no carbon monoxide found within the vapor, which is better health wise, too.

2. Less health hazards. As stated on the previous reason, electronic cigarettes do not contain any form of carbon monoxide. Also, there is no burning paper fumes going inside of your lungs, either. Although, electronic cigarettes are not healthy or great for your health, they are a better alternative than traditional cigarettes.

1. Better for your health. I’m not saying they are completely safe or healthy but they are a safer alternative.

Electronic cigarettes help you in many ways. You can use them as either a safer way to smoke everyday and anywhere, if you would like to keep smoking, or you can use them to quit smoking. If you choose to quit smoking by using the electronic cigarettes method, my advance to you would be to purchase the same milligram (MG) equal to your current cigarette brand. By this, I mean if you are smoking Full Flavor Marlboro cigarettes, you choose the 16MG cartridges. Once it’s time to buy refills, go to the next lowest MG available and work your way backwards, until you reach the non-nicotine cartridges. Once you are at the non-nicotine cartridges, you can either lay down the electronic cigarette or if you still have that urge of wanting to smoke one, the non-nicotine cartridges are safe enough to use, in order to take away that loss feeling.

In my own personal thoughts about electronic cigarettes, I found them to be a lot more refreshing than traditional cigarettes. I chose to go with the company called “Blu” and bought my starter kit for $59. When they came in the mail, I couldn’t wait to try it out to see what it tasted like. The electronic cigarette, itself, was quiet heavy because of the battery, that is inside of them. When I took the first puff or pull off of the cartridge filter and inhaled, I was quiet amazed. It did not have a bland taste to them or anything nasty tasting. I chose to go with the menthol flavor, since I’m used to smoking Newports. Compared to them, they were actually better tasting and had a fresher feeling to them.

As the time went by, I never had a craving to go back to traditional cigarettes and I have told so many of my smoking friends about the electronic cigarettes and had my friends try a pull off mine. They were so impressed that they ended up buying a starter kit, as well. So, everyone I know is “e-smoking” and it’s so nice. I will never switch back to traditional cigarettes.

There are millions of people in this World that are addicted to cigarettes. It is an unsurpassed addiction that some people can not over come. The addiction literally takes over their lives. For others there is hope, and the addiction can be overcome with a simple tool. That simple tool is the electronic cigarette. Not only will the electronic cigarette help control the addiction, it will be controlled in a safer, healthier way that you can live your life. In now way will the electronic cigarette cure or help you quit smoking instantly, it is an alternative to smokers and a different method that bypasses current laws and regulations. There are many electronic cigarette companies out there to serve you, but the choice is simple: http://www.smokelessdelite.com

The electronic cigarette and mini electronic cigarette are batter operated tools that vaporize the liquid nicotine in the cartridges using an atomizer. Once the liquid is converted to the vapor it is then exhaled into an odorless cloud that vanishes shortly after. There are many different types and flavors of refill cartridges for the electronic cigarettes. The are many flavors as well as different nicotine densities.

How will the electronic cigarette help me quit, you ask?

Well the answer lies within the densities of nicotine in the cartridges. For those who are regular smokers, they should start using the High nicotine cartridges for the electronic cigarettes. Once a sustainable level is reached and the user feels as if they can maintain a lower nicotine level, then they graduate down to the Medium level for the cartridges. The user should continue to use the medium level cartridges until they feel they can control their addiction and manage a lower level of nicotine. Once the users develops the confidence to lower down to the Low level cartridge, then they can continue using the Low level nicotine cartridges until they feel they have complete control over the nicotine addiction and can finally surpass the powers of nicotine addiction and finally step down to the NO nicotine level cartridges.

The user should continue to use the NO level cartridges only to trick the mind that they are actually smoking, when in fact all they are doing is using the vapor to simulate smoke.

All users should find their comfort level and use only as needed. All other will experience different and faster result.

Meerschaum pipes are originally crafted by artisans in Turkey using the finest quality sea foam taken from Asia Minor, mainly from the lands of Eskisehir in Turkey. Meerschaum smoking pipes are distinguished and highly recognized as the best crafted pipes ever since it was introduced in the market decades ago. The secret behind the antique quality of these pipes relies on its ingredient called  Meerschaum or literally known as “sea-foam”. Meerschaum is a mineral, scientifically recognized as hydrous silicate of magnesium which is among  the most porous substances found in the planet. Meerschaum are normally found under water and is formed by fossilized shells of tiny sea creatures that settled in the ocean thousands or even millions of years ago. Meerschaum is normally found in red clay deposits. This substance is perfect in making high quality pipes because of the fact that is very lightweight and soft. Plus, one of the most distinguishing characteristics of a Meerschaum pipe is its ability to change color over the years as it is smoked.

There are currently three types of Meerschaum Pipes in the market today. Including the following:

1. MEERSCHAUM: Pipes crafted using the highest quality of Meerschaum deposits from Eskisehir, in central Turkey.

2. AFRICAN BLOCK MEERSCHAUM: This type utilizes Meerschaum extracted from Tanzania, Africa and is usually stained in varying shades of brown, black and yellow.

3. MISSOURI MEERSCHAUM: Also know as the All-American Corncob pipe which is crafted from the concept of a hollowed-out corncob, usually from a special hybrid variety of corn, with a straight wooden stem and, sometimes, a inexpensive plastic mouthpiece. They are generally disposable types and does not last long.

Meerschaum pipes are smokers perfect tool for having the coolest, dry and flavorful smoke. Its a very good investment since these kind of pipes can literally last a lifetime if taken care of properly. Unlike briar pipes, Meerschaum does not burn out. This saves you from applying protective carbon cake on the inside of the bowl. However, smokers should constantly clean the bowl and take out any filth from it. The cleaner you keep your Meerschaum, the better it will smoke. However, to cure the Meerschaum, you should smoke more loads of your favorite tobacco.

Not only it provides the best smoking experience but it could also become a collectible if it reaches an antique ages. Meerschaum pipes which have been successfully colored have a striking effect to pipe collectors around the world and will pay a fortune to own one.

I have heard that smoking cigars is less unhealthful than smoking cigarettes and that smoking a pipe is less unhealthful than smoking cigars but I would like to see any studies that back this up. If you know of any would you post the name of the study and the journal in which it can be found.
